Clarity Building Controls started its business in 2022 as an integrator for Smart Building Solutions.

We quickly recognized that a one-size-fits-all solution is not sufficient for this market. You must have solutions for each building and for each user and that's a lot of possible combinations! We did extensive research in the North American market and discovered that although there are many very capable solutions that exist, we simply could not find a solution platform that was 100% modular so that we could adapt our solutions to each user profile - not the other way around. Composability and partnerships are the core principles of our ecosystem.

Although the Smart Building Solutions market has grown consistently over time, we continue to see resistance from the broad market. This was due to the very narrow scope of separate solutions that could not be pieced together as a complete solution.

Although some of the bigger vendors try to offer their own portfolio of solutions, it cut itself off from all the best solutions available and locked out their customers. This is known as vendor lock out.

Consequently, we began widening our its search to the rest of the world. After extensive searching we found the perfect partner and platform.

Iviva is a composable, AI-native platform designed to transform facilities, delivering measurable outcomes in energy and manpower efficiency, asset longevity, and operational intelligence.

Based on its powerful Integration Platform, Iviva empowers organizations to choose from its library of Iviva applications and from independent solution partners so that our clients have complete control and freedom to build the solution that they really need.

However, before making it official, Clarity worked with Iviva to address the specific needs of the North American market. We collaborated on developing new applications and brought in the local North American eco system of partnerships to provide our customers with complete end to end solutions including managed services.

We also emphasized the need for openness, customization and flexibility in our partnership. In the beginning of 2026, we officially launched our partnership with Iviva and became their North American Franchise Partners.
